It’s almost Christmas and I’ve been so busy with the holiday preparations that I’ve not had time to write much. I did try my hand with the white ink and boy is it a whole other ball game. I really had to be efficient with my work in order to prevent it from gumming up on the screen and clogging the designs. Note to self, read up on how to manage the white ink a little better for longer production runs.
I was also able to add another design to the mix: a Shasta and a Scotty, both with a ski rack/skis on top and a little faux Sugarloaf sticker on the back (Sugarloaf ski area is our home mountain here in Carrabassett Valley, ME). I screened them on white cards with blue ink, but I’m going to try blue cards with white on the next run. Even though it’s more of challenge, the contrast of the white design on a brightly colored card really does look great.
