So we are in the midst of Mud Season up here in the northeast and I totally jinxed myself by switching my tires over on the car yesterday. It was a gorgeous day– sunny, high 50’s-60’s and the car needed to be serviced. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Studded snow tires off, all season tires back on! Yahoo! My smooth riding, quiet car was back! Mother Nature had other plans…
I woke this morning to about 4″ of wet snow and some rain. Joke’s on me. I slid precariously down our road and managed to avoid hitting any of the hard snowbanks along the sides of the road. Thankfully it rained enough later in the day to clear the roads of the slush that had accumulated. Having lived in Maine for over half my life, I should have known better than to jump the gun. April can’t be trusted. The good news??? Only a few more weeks until we can go camping again!
